Kuldigas Centra vidusskola –Latvia
Kuldigas Centra secondary school was
founded in 1977 and Snepeles Pimary School became a branch of Kuldigas
Central School in 2009. All in total there are 735 students and 62
teachers. School is located in the Centre of Kuldiga and rural village
Snēpele. This is the school of its own persistent traditions,
development and academic results. Kuldigas Centre Secondary school is a
secondary educational establishment located in the Centre of Kuldiga.
Programme of education:Pre school education (5 and 6 years old
children), Primary Education Program,General Education Program- based on
mathematics, natural sciences and techniques.
Our school
cooperated with German Gesthahtes science bias school and in school of
European club and pupils in 2009.They went to European parliament
Strasbourg. Teachers and students participated in international
projects - Europe, the global player. Students would like to go to
commonwealth schools Holland, Poland and Portugal and continue their
friendship in the future. School participated Junior Achievement in
Latvia. School has a sports hall and good results in sport
competitions. Kuldigas Central secondary school has Snēpeles branch.
Snēpeles
school was built in 1830 and located in baron Hāna castl. We have 89
pupils in our school. Main subjects are literature, history, mathematic,
languages, geografic, music, art and informatic. Our pupils are also
participating in folklore group „ Pelēni”, theatre group and Snēpeles 4H
organization. We would like to realize more European and local
projects. Our school participated workshop in Bavaria. Students had
exchange projects with Finland, Norway, Sweden, Bulgaria and Estonia.
Our
pupils and teachers organize extracurricular activities, to
participate in different republic olympiads. School also participate
various exhibition. All our students are studing two languages- English
and Russian.
Participating in this Project, we would have a chance
to get new experience, meet new friends and in April 2011 we could
welcome other schools in our country.
